Mr Hong Hee Leong, CA(M), FCA, FCTIM, CMIIA


Mr Hong Hee Leong is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), fellow member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and a chartered member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia.

He began his career with Keyse, Poulter Partners & Co, a firm of Chartered Accountants in London, United Kingdom. Subsequently he has various experiences from working in industries such as in the professional services with Lim Ali & Co (merged and now known as Ernst & Young ), beverage business with Fraser and Neave Limited, plantations with Asiatic Development Berhad, consumer products with Sanyo Sales & Service Sdn Bhd, advertising and marketing consultancy with Asatsu & Fortecomm (M) Sdn Bhd and oil & gas with Worley Engineering International Ltd.

He has been in public practice as a Chartered Accountant and Tax Agent since 1995, providing advisory, accounting and audit services in the role of a principal – advisor for  a large number of clients based in Malaysia and internationally. He is also involved in tax planning and consultancy, system reviews, investigation audits, due diligence reviews and feasibility studies. In addition, he is a GST agent licensed under section 170 of the GST Act 2014.

Mr Hong is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees of the Board of MK Land Holdings Berhad, a company listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad main market. He also sits on the Board of Directors of several private limited companies.

Mr Hong was a budget commentator for a national daily.


Ms Vicky Kang Ruey Sia, CA(M), ACTIM, B.Acc (Hons), MBA

Ms Vicky Kang graduated with first class honours in Bachelor of Accounting and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University Putra Malaysia in 2005 and 2012 respectively. Ms Kang is a member of both MIA and CTIM.

Ms Kang began her career with CF Kok, Chow & Ng in 2003 as an Audit Trainee. On graduation, she joined KCSM Chartered Accountants where she was responsible for both statutory audit and tax compliance. Her last position there was Audit and Tax Senior before she joined H L Hong & Co in 2009 as Manager for the head office with responsibilities for total profit and loss of the firm, supervising, reviewing the work and leading a team of staff. She is also involved in providing advisory and consultancy services and feasibility studies.


Ms Esther Boey Tan Ling, CA(M), ACA

Ms Esther Boey graduated with a Higher Diploma in Accounting by London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board in 2011. She is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants since 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Ms Boey began her career with H L Hong & Co in 2011 under the auspices of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She completed her training and examinations in 2015 and in 2016 was promoted to Assistant Manager responsible for managing, supervising, reviewing the work and leading a team of staff in our Sitiawan branch. She is also involved in tax advisory, due diligence review and business valuation.


Ms Lau Mun, ACCA

Ms Lau Mun is an associate member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

She was attached to Ernst & Young from 1995 to 1999 where she was Audit Senior responsible for planning, control and managing statutory audit engagements of small medium businesses to multinationals and public listed conglomerates. She also managed internal audit engagements for organisations  involved in the  retail, education  and  manufacturing  industries.

Subsequently she joined KPMG Management Assurance Services division as Manager where she assisted public listed companies in the establishment of enterprise risk management frameworks and also developed and implemented risk based internal audit plans.


Dr Kong Voon Sin, CA(M), ACCA

Dr Kong Voon Sin is an associate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is also a life member of the Malaysian Institute of Directors.

He was attached to a public listed company and he rose from Group Accountant to Senior General Manager of Business Development in seven years. His last position held total profit and loss responsibility of three public listed companies. He was instrumental for the listing of two of the those companies on Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd. He has also worked with the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee and Danaharta and has been involved in ratings, bond issues, rights issues, bridging loans and loan syndications.


Mr Desmond Chin Chew Mun, CA(M), CA (NZ), B.Com

Mr Desmond Chin graduated from University of Auckland, New Zealand with Bachelor of Commerce. He is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants, New Zealand and a member of MIA. He is a licensed auditor approved by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and is the principal of CM Chin & Co (AF 2013), a firm of Chartered Accountants registered with MIA.

Mr Chin began his career with PWC, a firm of Chartered Accountants in 1995 as an Associate in the assurance division. He was promoted and his last position was Assistant Audit Manager when he left in 2001. He was Audit Manager of Moores Rowland (now known as Mazars), Chartered Accountants from 2002 to 2004 and was responsible for reviewing the work and supervising a team of staff. He subsequently joined Ernst & Young, China as Senior Manager with responsibilities for managing a portfolio of foreign multi national companies based in China as well as major state owned enterprises. He returned to Malaysia in 2009.

Besides his 15 years audit experience with big accounting firms gained in Malaysia and China, Mr Chin has 3 years commercial experience in multi national corporations. He was Accountant of BP (M) Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian company of the oil exploration group from 2001 to 2002. He joined AstraZeneca Asia-Pacific Business Services Sdn Bhd as Process Lead responsible for the accounts of the group’s Asia Pacific companies in 2009. He left in 2011 and founded CM Chin & Co, Chartered Accountants.

Mr Chin is married with a child.


Ms Diane Ding CA(M), FCCA (UK), MBA (UK)


Ms Diane Ding is a fellow member of ACCA (UK) and a Chartered Accountant of MIA. She graduated with distinction in her Master of Business Adminsitration (MBA,UK) and has 20 years of valuable working experiences in public practices (accounting firms), Bursa listed companies and SMEs.

Diane began her career in Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PWC) and thereafter joined H L Hong & Co as Audit Manager. She gained valuable business exposure in auditing the various clients of listed companies, MNCs, financial institutions (banks), manufacturing, services & trading companies and SMEs. Prior to re-joining H L Hong & Co to head the Shah Alam Branch, she was Head of Finance with a listed contruction company and Assistant Vice President of Astro Radio Sdn Bhd (a RM200 million revenue company). She also has commercial experiences in advertising industry, food franchise and a manufacturing company (packaging & printing business).

Diane is passionate to support entrepreneurs achieve their vision and goals. She finds fulfillment in helping SMEs grow their businesses. Diane currently heads the audit firm branch in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. She specialises in tax planning, accounting set up, accounting outsourcing services and forensic accounting. Diane was the key speaker in the several GST seminars organised by the firm. Diane is also a licensed GST Tax agent with Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

Diane is married with three children.
